Isabel Tay is a visual artist and fimmaker based in Singapore.
Isabel completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Video (Major) and Graphic Design (Minor) from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in May 2023.
Her work explores identity, and intimacy within - and beyond - herself through her life and family, research, documentation, interviews, and experimentation.
Her introspective nature influences her use of self to reimagine narratives that form the mundane, the overlooked, the voiceless, and the forgotten.
Her work has been part of the official selection for Lift Off Network New York Festival, Legendary Makers Film Festival (Portland, OR) and the Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival.
Isabel was a camera assistant at Laika Studios (Hillsboro, OR) on its upcoming feature, Wildwood. She is currently looking for new opportunities in Singapore, United States or the United Kingdom.
